NMEA unknown msg*46

Post by alj » Sat Jan 29, 2022 7:37 pm

Hi Luis
I have connected an active GPS to p3 on NMEA4WIFI with output to TCP, UDP and P5. The port is set to baud 9600 which is what the gps unit requires. It works but only intermittently. In the debug output I get the following message “GNTXT,01,01,01,NMEA unknown msg*46”.

I read somewhere that this could be due to an echo setting having to be switched off but this option does not seem to exist.

I have P5 outputting to my VHF which requires baud 4800. It says in your manual that “if the baud rate of the output port is inferior to those of the input ports, data may be lost.” I wonder if this could be the problem and if there is any way to solve this?
