Re: Connecting from chartplotting software to Simrad tiller pilot

Hello Gerrit,
I suppose that you have to tell the TP22, that it has to act on stimuli from the chart plotter.
I once solved a similar situation with a ST1000 by a very, very short press on both +10 and -10. Not a duuuuut, but a dt🥴

Re: Depth recordings N2W vs N4W

Hello Luis, The depth recordings is made on two separate trips. The trace to the left is made by Nmea2Wifi, and the one to the right is made by Nmea4Wifi. It seems to my eye, that the trace made by 2' is far better than the 4' one, but the 2' is very slow to connect. Is it possible slow the 4' down ...

Depth recordings N2W vs N4W

Hello Luis, Attached is a screenshot from iPhone running Navionics. Two traces can be seen running up-down: The left one is made by N2W and the right one by N4W (two separate recordings of depth measured by the boats transducer and SeaTalk). I like the trace made by N2W because it is far less massiv...

Re: Navionics App and AIS - Nmea2Wifi and Nmea4Wifi

In Simulation mode working with Nacionics on iPhone and iPad my experience is, that the connection is done automatical, and the source is referred to as "Digital Yacht WLN10", allthough the source is NMEA4WIFI with standard IP (192.168.4.1) The two AIS targets are shown, but the depth is not. Any ma...

Re: App for iOS

Hello Luis,
Just read your suggestion, and I will reply in a couple of days - have to be on the boat.
Being there I first will check N4W operating with OpenCPN, and then with iAIS and iNavX.
Is there news about apps for iPhone/iPad?
All the best,
Erik

Re: App for iOS

Hi Luis, Thanks for quick reply. As regards iAIS on iPhone the IP might be the problem. On the screen for setting IP, the Host IP can be set when selecting TCP but the host-box disappear when selecting UDP; I assumed that UDP mode would use the entered IP in TCP mode, but that might not be right. Di...

App for iOS

Hi, I use NMEA2WIFI to broadcast AIS from Garmin AIS-800, and the information is well received by OpenCPN running on Win as well as OSX. I would like to find an iOS app to run on iPad or iPhone. Have tried iAIS from Digital Yacht without success (it becomes useless slow), and iNAVX with some succes:...

Simulation of nmea

Hi I would like to feed the NMEA2WIFI with NMEA input for to test WiFi connection to ie iNavX. Not able to get onboard is a problem - have to wait yet a month. I have software running generating nmea information send by WiFi and I am able to connect directly from pc to iNavX on iPhone by WiFi. I can...

Re: In the improbable case you need to test the hardware

Hello Luis,
"On the road again...." Thanks a lot.
I have connection in AP-mode, and that is fine for now.
When I get more experienced I might try to connect to a existing network.
All the best from Denmark
Erik
